There’s a baby on the way!

As it turns out, my wife Emily is with child and we will be having a baby sometime around mid-June 2010. More details to come.

Move to Over-the-Rhine

In April, my wife and I moved downtown to historic Over-the-Rhine, a neighborhood that flourished in the 1800s ( it was one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in America by the turn of the 20th century) but has experienced tremendous decay since the mid-1900s, leading to poverty, crime, and all sorts of problems. In the 1990s, and even into the 2000s, it was a pretty scary place. In recent years, however, there have been many revitalization efforts, which have led to many improvements, as well as a very diverse community and a strong artistic vibe in the neighborhood. We moved into a loft apartment in a really cool Queen Anne style building at the corner of Main & Liberty streets, and so far, we love it there.
